Day 14 - Pamplona, our last stop in Spain
12th April 2018
Tonight we are at a campsite just outside Pamplona surrounded by the foothills of the Pyrenees, some of which we have driven/ridden through today. Despite some impressive scenery the cycling has been a hard grind into the wind and rain, with heavy grey cloud cloaking the higher mountains. Never mind, we are here and celebrating! When we started from Tarifa, Pamplona seemed such a long way away. Everything continues to go well, Jacqui has Ivan's routine down to a fine art and I am managing the cycling miles (achilles improving)
Rest day tomorrow to explore Pamplona before heading over the Pyrenees to France on Sunday..
Despite the weather there were some some good view points especially after one particular uphill slog a few miles before Pampona.
Count the number of layers!
Cycling and Pyrenees. Surely two words that should never be put together...
ReplyDeleteLow gears dear!
DeleteApart from your Achilles, can you feel yourself getting fitter, Martin?
ReplyDeleteI seem to be able to ride without getting tired but can't do much other than trundle along except after a rest day. My heart rate rarely gets over 130. Achilles settling nicely.
