Days 43 and 44 - Relaxing!
12th and 13th May 2018
Yesterday was spent in Gothenburg, a 20 minute bus ride from our campsite. It was a bank holiday weekend in Sweden so it was pretty busy. There was an "Action Run" about to start with hundreds of competitors taking part in a run/obstacle course. Away from Gothenburg's main boulevard, things were a little less frantic and we enjoyed the walking tour suggested by the tourist information guide. This took us into the old quarter of Haga Nygata with it's wooden buildings, narrow streets, cafes and shops. We enjoyed our day and there is plenty going on in Gothenburg to make it worth a further visit in the future.

Today we were very busy doing not very much. I managed a swim and found a few oysters for tea, no R in the month hope there are no after effects!
A well deserved rest Martin, great progress so far. Nice and sunny here this week so will be going for the full 5 days riding to work which will be 160 miles. Which is what you are doing over a couple of days :).
ReplyDeleteSome amazing places you have passed through :)

Thanks Kevin. My riding has just been trundling along, trying not to use up too much energy, I'm sure your miles will be much better quality!
